Mack McCormack - Founder / Safety Training
Mack brings veteran leadership, more than 30 years of safety-training experience and the operational backbone of Saferight Training Academy. He anchors the business in compliance, facilities, risk management and a safety-first culture productions can trust.

Shea Walsh - Founder / Screen Industry Strategy
Shea connects the academy to the screen sector: producers, directors, first ADs, cast, crew and incoming productions. His role is to shape the strategy, partnerships, marketing and production-facing language so the capability is genuinely useful to the industry.

Keith Harding - Lead Stunt, Rigging & Practical SFX Capability Transfer
Keith Harding is the proposed lead capability-transfer specialist for Saferight Academy’s stunt, performer-safety, action rigging and practical SFX pathway. As the veteran Special Effects Supervisor behind FilmSFX in the UK, his work spans practical effects, atmospherics, fire and smoke, squibs and hits, vehicle and stunt effects, with screen credits including Into the Deep, Die Before You Die and Fear the Invisible Man. For Saferight, Keith’s role is to help translate that production experience into WA-ready training, SOPs and rehearsal systems covering performer protection, exclusion zones, reset discipline, practical SFX interfaces and safe action design. Working alongside Saferight’s established safety-training infrastructure, he gives the academy a credible pathway to train local personnel and support larger inbound productions through the new Perth studio ecosystem.

Tim Carr - Lead Stunt, Squib & Practical SFX
Tim Carr will lead Saferight Academy’s stunt, squib and practical SFX capability, bringing specialist expertise in performer safety, simulated impacts, practical hits, action planning, stunt integration and on-set execution. His role is central to the revised Saferight model, ensuring the business is framed first and foremost around screen safety, stunt coordination and practical production capability, with armoury and tactical training operating as integrated supporting streams. Tim will help develop Saferight’s practical SOPs, training pathways, safety criteria, rehearsal protocols, first AD communication language, reset procedures, exclusion-zone planning and production documentation. His involvement gives the application a stronger stunt/SFX foundation while still allowing the broader model to connect with film armoury, tactical realism, production design and WA-based capability transfer.

Adam Wheatley - Tactical Production Design
Adam connects production design with tactical realism, action geography and safety-led screen planning. He helps sets, props, camera movement and practical action design feel convincing while remaining shootable and safe.

Daniel Potts - Film Armoury & Screen Weapons Safety
Daniel supports Saferight Academy’s film-armoury and screen-weapons safety pathway, helping develop WA-specific protocols for safe handling, storage, transport, blank-firing systems, replica and appearance-item controls, actor briefings and production-ready compliance. In the revised model, Daniel’s expertise sits as a specialist support stream beneath Tim Carr’s lead stunt, squib and practical SFX capability, ensuring armoury work is integrated into the broader safety, stunt, SFX and tactical-production framework.

Scott Roark - Tactical Training & Screen Weapons
Scott is a former US Marine and former US police officer with extensive firearms experience. Within Saferight Academy, he is positioned as a WA-based capability-transfer recipient, building local capacity under Daniel Potts and Tim Carr so productions can access disciplined, safety-led tactical performance support in Western Australia.

Derek Bailey - WA Armoury & On-Set Safety
Derek brings extensive firearms experience and will be trained through the Saferight Academy capability-transfer pathway. His role is to help build WA’s local bench strength across safe handling, screen weapons support, set protocols and practical production safety under the guidance of the lead specialists.
